These are the repairs we handle most for Birmingham customers, on both everyday eyeglasses and sunglasses:
Not seeing your exact problem here? Send a photo anyway β most of what comes through is some version of the list above.
We won't buff a scratch out of your lens β that distorts the optics β but we will put a new one in. Lens replacement runs alongside every frame repair we do for Birmingham customers:
Lens replacement is quoted alongside your frame repair, so you get one firm price covering both instead of two separate bills.
Beyond structural repair, we also offer full cleaning and reconditioning, available on its own or bundled with any frame repair:
Cleaning and reconditioning is priced separately, whether you send it in on its own or add it to a repair β you'll always get a firm price upfront.
Everyday Brands
$40β$90
Luxury & Designer Brands
$55β$120
The number you're quoted is the number you pay. We look at your photos and description, give you a firm price, and only start once you've said yes. Lens replacement is priced separately from frame repair and depends on lens type and prescription β that's part of the same upfront quote.
To keep expectations straight before you ship anything:
Ray-Ban, Oakley, Maui Jim, Persol, Oliver Peoples, Prada, Gucci, Versace, Silhouette, Tom Ford, Chanel, Bvlgari, Cazal, Serengeti, Safilo, and most other major eyewear brands, including older and discontinued styles.
If your pair isn't on this list, ask anyway β this covers most of what we see, not all of it.
Yes. We're a nationwide repair operation built around a mail-in model, not a chain of storefronts. Birmingham customers get the same technicians, the same laser welding, and the same guarantee as anyone using a walk-in location β it just arrives by mail instead of over a counter.
The repair itself is usually done the same day it reaches Chandler. Counting shipping both ways from Birmingham, most people have their glasses back in about a week.
No. Shipping is free in both directions once you've approved your quote.
We'll tell you before you spend anything. Quotes are based on your photos and description, and if we don't think we can do it justice, we'll say so instead of taking your money.
Depends on how far gone they are. Loosened hinges and softened temples, usually yes. Frames that have actually melted or bowed out of shape from serious heat, usually no β but send photos and we'll give you a straight answer either way.
Often, yes. A lot of what we repair is exactly this β frames the original brand won't touch anymore because the warranty's expired or the model's discontinued.
Yes. Independent optical shops in the area and around the country send us the welding jobs their own equipment can't handle.
We do it ourselves. Titanium frame repair in Birmingham is one of the more common jobs we get β it needs specific welding equipment that most general repair counters don't carry.
All of them. Hoover, Vestavia Hills, Homewood, Mountain Brook, Trussville β since this runs through the mail, it covers anywhere in the metro with a mailing address.
$40β$90 for most everyday brands, $55β$120 for luxury and designer frames. You'll know the exact number before we start.
